News and Announcements

Hello Parents.

North Simcoe Soccer Club is proud to announce the first fall/winter house league soccer.

We are in the process of setting up registration, but want parents to be aware of the option available for their child to participate in this league.

As this is our first year for the league, it will only be offered to specific age groups. We will have two sessions, the first will be offered to two age groups, grades 5, 6 & 7 and the second
grade 8, 9 & 10

When: Wednesday, October 25, 2017,- March 7, 2018.

Who: grade 5, 6 & 7
grade 8, 9 & 10

Where: Bayview Public School

Cost $50.00

There will be limited space for our first year, and we will advise when registration is open.

This will be a first come, first serve basis.

There will be no uniforms provided, nor will there be photos. It will be a house league. The children will arrive, stretch and play soccer. The teams will vary from week to week, so children will have an opportunity to play with and against various children of their age group.

We will send out a notification when the registration is open.

The final week of soccer is here for most leagues, with the exception of the senior league, which will play throughout the summer. It is difficult to believe we are at the end of June already.

This year we are trying a different format for our last night of play. We will be having a mini tournaments of 3 × 10 minute games. Please arrive on time, as there will be no practice on the last night, but go directly to our game schedule. Your convenor will advise your schedule for the last night of play.

Following the games, we will gather for a thank you to all those involved in the success of the league and then treats for all the children.

Thanks to everyone who make this league a success.

We have two members of our Executive who have served the Club with professionalism and dedication, but will be taking a break from the organizational aspect of things. We are looking for parents, who would like to take a stab at convening one of the younger leagues. If you are interested, please speak with your present convenor and they can fill you in on the responsibilities and time commitment.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Please be advised that both Paula Quinn and Jenn Coutts will be concluding their services with the North Simcoe Soccer Club at the end of the 2017 soccer season.

It has been a pleasure to convene both the Beginner League and the Junior League over the past 2 and 4 years respectively. Thank you to our fellow executive team members, to our parents and guardians, and to the athletes for the rewarding experience that convening has provided.

Please contact Paula or Jenn if you are interested in taking over a convening role, and they will be glad to assist you with transitioning into the position. If these volunteer roles are not filled, the leagues will not run next year.

Thank you again,

We start planning for next year in the fall, so if you would like to assist, but in more of an administrative role, please speak to your convenor, who can give you an idea of the commitment that is involved.
