2021 Outdoor Season Cancelled

Posted by North Simcoe Soccer Club at May 26, 2021 7:15AM PDT

The Executive of the North Simcoe Soccer Club met last night to determine whether to plan for an outdoor season.
By unanimous vote, we have cancelled the 2021 outdoor season and will decide in August whether to plan for an indoor fun session come this fall.

Per the current reopening plan published by the Government of Ontario “Roadmap to Reopen” (, we will consider the indoor session when Ontario goes into Step Three or beyond.

Thank you for your support over the years.

North Simcoe Soccer Club Survey

Posted by North Simcoe Soccer Club at Mar 25, 2021 4:29PM PDT

Hello Everyone,

We are working away at hopefully being able to run a 2021 soccer season.

Unlike other years, due to the ongoing pandemic there are more considerations than normal to being able to run a soccer season.

1) The Town of Midland has to allow us to rent the soccer fields.
2) We have to do a Return to Play Guide and submit it to the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit and get Approval
3) Ontario Soccer has guidelines we need to follow for our Return to Play as well

We can not run any games in a Red or Grey Zone. So as long as the SMDHU in in a Red Zone, there will be no soccer.

If we get into Orange, Yellow or a green Zone then we will be able to consider running a soccer season.

I can appreciate all your emails but we wont know for a while yet if we can make this work but we are trying our best.

In the meantime, you can help us out. Below is a link to a survey for our club.

If you can take a minute to do the survey for us, it would greatly help us out.

Stay safe my friends,

North Simcoe Soccer Club Update

Posted by North Simcoe Soccer Club at Mar 6, 2021 2:32PM PST

Hello Everyone,

Our club is considering all options for the 2021 season.

As we work our way through the discussions on what type of season we can offer in 2021, I ask you for your patience.

On March 18th, the Vice President of our club and myself will be attending a virtual meeting with all other Presidents / Vice Presidents of soccer clubs in the Huronia District as we try to formulate a plan and see what we can offer kids in our area this year.

Our club executive will be meeting on March 23rd virtually and again in earlier April. Hopefully at that time we will have a clearer picture of what to expect.

In the meantime, stay safe.
